At our ministry every unit and department is saddled with various objectives which perform a number of functions to ensure smooth running of the ministry as we serve the public.Â
Advisory Function
To advise Government on socio-economic issues.
Source Grant for Projects
To prepare pre-feasibility grants on projects and also analyse and appraise projects for the purpose of determining their social and economic viability.
Liaise with Appropriate Agencies
To coordinate all technical assistance programs and liaise with the appropriate Federal Agencies or any other Municipal and International Agencies;
Ensure commensurate spending
To monitor and ensure that Government finances for projects and programmes are commensurate with quality and quantity of work done at every stage
Project Recommendation
To recommend consultant and contractorsâ competencies or otherwise to MDAs before government projects are awarded
